Our mission is to relieve poverty and promote health and development in the Ashanti Region of Ghana by means including the provision of safe and accessible water.Key Principles
- Our work must be sustainable - no village shall be allowed to become dependent on us.
- Villagers contribute to every project, both with their local knowledge and by giving their labour free of charge.
- Whenever we give a village clean water, we will follow it up with training in health, hygiene and the construction of latrines.
- We always consult the villagers from the outset, and take account of their views at every stage of our projects.
- Our trustees and helpers in the UK are 100 per cent volunteers. Every penny we raise goes toward funding our programmes.
Gyetiase is a rural community about 40 kilometres north-east of Kumasi, near Mampong.
